If you caught ROH Final Battle this year then you saw an amazing night of pro wrestling filled with over the top moments and a main event that will be hard to forget. Not only did Cody Rhodes get busted open the hard way and debut a new blonde look, but Dalton Castle finally defeated the Grandson Of A Plumber to become the new ROH World Champion.
The flamboyant Dalton Castle recently spoke to ROH where he gave an exclusive interview and discussed how much the fan support has meant to him during this fantastic time in his career.
“It has been nothing but amazing. I have always felt like a champion and I knew I could work hard to make it so. But, to also have the fans of ROH loudly accept me as their champion has made this whole experience beyond amazing.”
When the ROH World Championship was finally handed to Dalton Castle at ROH Final Battle, he said it was hard to put that moment into words as he experienced something he had been working so hard for become a reality.
“There was so much going on in my head it was crazy. The feelings I had at that exact moment would probably best be described with a dance.”
He also commented on those people who doubted him along the way. It’s great to see how Castle was able to overcome any of the doubters and come through with the top title in tow.
“No, I never doubted my abilities. I belong in a pro wrestling ring and knew if I just continued to be fearless I would be able to be myself and move up. It wasn’t a moment that I started to see ‘I have what it takes,’ it was more I noticed others started to see what I already knew.”
