Over the last few years fans have seen WWE release a number of Superstars, and recently Mustafa Ali took to Twitter to announce that he had requested to be released from his contract.
Despite Ali’s public release request it was later reported that WWE has no plans to release him. In response to the report the #FreeAli hashtag started trending on Twitter, and some fans have noted that the WWE on FOX Twitter account blocked them for using the hashtag.
Ali noticed that fans were getting blocked, so he posted a screenshot showing that he blocked the WWE on FOX Twitter account along with the following caption:
“Oh, word? don’t worry, i gotchu.”
Mustafa Ali has not appeared on WWE programming in months and his last match took place during the October 29th episode of Friday Night SmackDown. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
