Current WWE Superstar Advertised For Independent Show In 2018

It’s become fairly common over the past few years for released WWE stars to return to the independent circuit, but in a strange turn of events, it seems that WWE is allowing Apollo Crews to return to one of his old wrestling promotions next year.

PCW, who are based in Preston, England let the cat out of the bag during a live stream before Powerbomb TV then officially tweeted the announcement earlier today that stated that Raw superstar Apollo Crews would be part of the company’s Road To Glory event on February 10th, 2018.

Apollo is currently part of The Titus Brand Worldwide on WWE TV with the company not dropping any hints that the former NXT star could be in the next rounds of WWE releases. There are a number of UK based stars like Pete Dunne, Mark Andrews and even Noam Dar who have been able to return to the UK independent circuit since they were signed to WWE, so Crews could be the next name on this list.

WWE are looking to expand what they currently have in the UK with a weekly British show already being rumoured for 2018 and WWE also already has partnerships with Progress and IPW in the UK so PCW could be another promotion that the company wants to work with, since they have a solid wrestling school as well.

Preston City Wrestling has been hinting for the past few weeks that they had a huge announcement regarding the show that Zack Sabre Jr is already confirmed for in Preston next year, and it seems that they have definitely followed through on their side of the deal.
