Karrion Kross and Scarlett got the wrestling world talking a few months ago when they returned to WWE, and they’ve been feuding with Drew McIntyre ever since. Kross and Scarlett are a well established duo, but it seems that WWE pitched an idea for her to be paired with another wrestler before Karrion Kross joined the company.
Fightful Select reports that ideas were pitched for Scarlett when NXT made the jump to cable in 2019, and one of the ideas was to have her work as a manager for Damian Priest.
However, the pairing ultimately didn’t happen as Damian Priest passed on the idea because he didn’t think it would be a good fit for him. The idea was nixed within the first few weeks of NXT joining USA Network, but there were reportedly people who believed at one point that the act would make it to TV.
Scarlett’s character was then put on the back burner until it became clear to WWE that Karrion Kross would be joining the company. Kross and Scarlett both appeared at Crown Jewel on Saturday where Kross battled Drew McIntyre in a steel cage match. Unfortunately for Kross it was McIntyre who picked up the win after he escaped the cage by climbing over the top.
