This week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown aired live from Buffalo, New York and it was the first SmackDown of the new year. The show featured some big moments such as the return of Matt Cardona who stepped into the ring to face Kit Wilson in a singles match.
Before the match Kit Wilson cut a promo and he berated the fans in Buffalo as he accused everyone of being toxic. Cardona interrupted him and eventually connected with the Rough Ryder to pick up the win.
Now that SmackDown has expanded to three hours the expectation is that more talent will be featured on the blue brand, and it looks like we could be seeing Kit Wilson on more of a regular basis in the weeks to come.
WRKD Wrestling is reporting that with Elton Prince out of action for the foreseeable future there’s been a lot of faith in Kit Wilson taking on a role similar to Heath Slater. The idea is that he can continuously take on losses, and help push talent, but still have a consistent presence on screen. It’s being said that there’s a lot of trust in him.
