Current WWE Star Expected To Join AEW

It’s no big secret that a number of WWE deals are coming up and it was recently reported by PWInsider that Ricochet informed the company that he would not be signing a new contract when his current deal expires.

Fightful Select is reporting that they’ve been told there is a high likelihood that Ricochet will be leaving WWE. It’s also being reported that Ricochet is expected to land in AEW.

Creative measures were taken to write Ricochet off if he does leave, and Ricochet dropping the WWE Speed Championship to Andrade was part of that. There are other pitches on the table to write Ricochet off such as a plan that was pitched for Raw involving Bron Breakker taking Ricochet out.

At this point there’s no word regarding any official talks, but over the last week AEW talent were talking about the possibility of Ricochet joining the company.

NJPW is also said to be interested in Ricochet whose deal is set to expire at some point during the first half of the summer.
