Current WWE Champion Reportedly Injured

Last week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown gave fans plenty to talk about including an interesting angle involving Jade Cargill. As Bianca Belair was facing off against Blair Davenport and Chelsea Green in a triple threat match the cameras cut to the backstage area to show Jade Cargill laid out on a car after she was seemingly attacked.

Bianca Belair decided to bail on the match as she rushed to the backstage area to check on her partner. At the time it wasn’t clear if the angle was simply the beginning of a new storyline for Jade Cargill, but now it seems that the angle may have been done to write her off TV.

Fightful Select is reporting that it was intimated that Jade Cargill is dealing with a legitimate injury. According to the report the angle that took place on SmackDown last week was done to cover for the injury.

WWE recently posted an announcement claiming that Jade Cargill suffered the following injuries:

“BREAKING: @Jade_Cargill has been diagnosed with the following injuries: Deep Lumbar Paraspinal Muscle Contusions, Bruised Kidney, Sprained MCL in her right knee, Tibial Plateau Bone Bruise of her right knee, Facial Lacerations. There is no timetable for her return.”

Currently Jade Cargill is one half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. There’s currently no word on what WWE has planned for the titles. Stay tuned for more updates on Jade Cargill’s status as they become available.
