It’s always unfortunate when a WWE star is sidelined due to injury, and during last week’s episode of SmackDown, Jade Cargill was written off TV. WWE later announced that the current WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion suffered multiple injuries.

Recently Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reported that the angle on SmackDown was done to cover for a legitimate injury which could keep her out of action for a minimum of three months.

PW Nexus is now reporting that the three month timeframe is a best case scenario as Jade Cargill’s injury is said to be neck related. According to the report Cargill’s spot on the WrestleMania card is in limbo, and she could be out of action for up to a year.

When WWE posted their initial announcement claiming that Jade Cargill suffered multiple injuries it was noted that there’s no timetable for her return. Cargill will not be competing in the women’s WarGames match at Survivor Series as she’s set to be replaced by another wrestler during this week’s episode of SmackDown. There’s currently no word on what WWE is planning to do with the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.

Stay tuned for updates.
