The coronavirus pandemic has had a huge impact on the professional wrestling industry, and now it’s been revealed that current WWE Champion Drew McIntyre has tested positive for COVID-19.
WWE confirmed the positive test, and that Drew McIntyre has been placed in quarantine when the company posted the following announcement:
“Drew McIntyre has tested positive for COVID-19 and has been placed in quarantine.”
Drew McIntyre was originally set to face Randy Orton in a non-title match tonight on Monday Night Raw, and last week Goldberg challenged him to defend his WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view on January 31.
