For months now Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn have been working as top heels on SmackDown Live, and Sunday night they’ll both have the opportunity to become WWE Champion when they compete in the six pack challenge match at Fastlane.
If they don’t win, they Owens and Zayn will both be trying to find a spot on the WrestleMania card, but they might not end up in a spot that fans would expect.
A potential Sami Zayn vs. Kevin Owens match has been teased as of late, and for months now Daniel Bryan vs. Shane McMahon has also been teased on SmackDown Live.
Daniel Bryan still hasn’t been cleared for an in-ring return, so there’s been speculation that Shane McMahon could choose a partner to face off against Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens who would serve as Bryan’s representatives in a tag team match.
However, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the current plan is for Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn to compete in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
