The year is almost over which means that fans will soon be looking ahead to the Royal Rumble premium live event. Next year the Royal Rumble will emanate from Saudi Arabia and it will kick off the road to WrestleMania 42. Seth Rollins was expected to take on a big role at the Show of Shows next year, but Seth recently confirmed that he will be out of action for at least another three to four months.
Dave Meltzer noted in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter that when he asked about Seth Rollins’ status for WrestleMania he was told the option is still open, but not sure a thing.
Originally Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins for the title was set to main event one of the nights at WrestleMania. However, it’s being said that Reigns vs. Rollins as a title match is out the window, and Cody Rhodes vs. Roman Reigns is looking like it will be the big match at WWE’s Show of Shows next year.
Betting odds for a potential Reigns vs. Rhodes match at WrestleMania 42 show Reigns as the favorite with -200 odds and Cody Rhodes with +150. It’s also being reported that there are 35,973 tickets out for night one and 36,045 tickets out for night two.
Roman Reigns last appeared on WWE programming when he stepped into the WarGames cage for the Survivor Series main event last month. Before the show went off the air The Tribal Chief seemingly teased a rematch with Cody when he told The American Nightmare that they wouldn’t be teaming together again.
