They say that anything can happen in WWE and earlier this week Stephanie McMahon officially announced that she was resigning from her position as Co-CEO and Chairwoman of WWE. The wrestling world is still processing Stephanie’s resignation as it was reported that she was well liked by people within the company.
Current WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther recently spoke to Dallas Morning News about Stephanie McMahon resigning from her role and he wished her nothing but the best.
“To be fair, I only had very brief interactions with her. She’s always been very nice and very lovely. And yeah, I’m happy for her that she’s going to be able now to take time off and enjoy time with her family. And yeah, I think you should be happy for anyone who’s in a position to do that. All the best to her.”
It was also announced this week that Vince McMahon has once again returned to his role as Executive Chairman. Vince McMahon is pursuing a sale of WWE, so it will be interesting to see how the next few months play out. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
