The NXT roster has been getting raided recently as several names have been called up to the main roster. Trick Williams and Je’Von Evans have moved up to SmackDown and Raw respectively, and Joe Hendry and Jordynne Grace have also been making appearances on main roster programming. Now it seems that another name is being discussed for a main roster spot.
Fightful Select is reporting that current NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne has been discussed for a potential WWE main roster call-up. It’s being said that NXT higher ups believe Jacy Jayne did a good job rising to the occasion throughout 2025.
It was also noted that Fightful was told years ago that Jacy Jayne made a good impression when she appeared on SmackDown in 2022, and since then there has been semi-regular discussions regarding a potential call-up.
Last year Jacy Jayne took her career to the next level when she won the NXT Women’s Championship not once, but twice after years of working in the midcard. NXT sources have said that when Jayne was tasked with the push she took full advantage of what was called a “sink or swim” opportunity.
This week at New Year’s Evil, Jacy Jayne successfully defended her NXT Women’s Championship against Kendal Grey. Another top NXT star also successfully defended their title, but ended up vacating the belt right after their match and you can get more on that here.
