Current AEW Star Names Dream Match They Want To Have With CM Punk

There’s been a lot of speculation regarding CM Punk’s status with AEW following the All Out pay-per-view last year as he was involved in an infamous altercation with The Elite after the show. At this point it’s not clear if CM Punk will be returning to the company, but his friends in FTR seem to have their sights set on a potential dream match involving Punk.

Tony Khan announced last week that AEW will be heading to London, England in a few months to present the All In pay-per-view from Wembley Stadium. During a recent interview with Uproxx, Dax Harwood of FTR named his dream match for All In and he made it clear that he wants to team with CM Punk to take on The Elite.

“CM Punk and FTR versus the Elite. That’s gotta be it, right? If you want to sell 50,000 tickets and take this company to the next level, that’s it, that’s me dreaming. That’s the dream match. That six-man tag in Wembley Stadium could help launch AEW to the next level.”

FTR’s AEW status has also been a talking point over the last few months as Dax Harwood claimed earlier this year that their deals with AEW were set to expire in April. Last week on Dynamite the duo made it clear that they are sticking with All Elite Wrestling as they managed to defeat The Gunns to capture the AEW World Tag Team Titles for the second time in their career.
