There have been a number of AEW departures as of late and it seems that yet another AEW star could be on their way out. It’s been reported that Andrade El Idolo’s AEW contract is set to expire soon and that he wanted to return to CMLL because he would not be able to do so if he signs a new deal with WWE in the future.
Andrade El Idolo recently made his return to CMLL and after the show he spoke to the press and said that he has a lot of open doors when it comes to 2024. He noted that he’s not sure which one he will choose.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter the expectation within WWE is that Andrade will be returning to the company. People close to Andrade have said that he may go back, but is also open to staying with AEW if Tony Khan makes him a better offer than WWE.
