It’s WrestleMania season and the stars of WWE have been working hard to build up the biggest show of the year, but one name has been notably absent as of late. Shinsuke Nakamura hasn’t appeared on WWE programming in months, and it doesn’t like WWE is ready to start using him again just yet.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that plans for Shinsuke Nakamura have been put on hold until after WrestleMania, which explains why the former Intercontinental Champion hasn’t been around.
“Regarding questions about Nakamura, we’re told he’s on hold until after WrestleMania.”
Earlier this year Shinsuke Nakamura competed in a high profile match when he traveled to Japan to face The Great Muta at a Pro Wrestling NOAH event. The Great Muta is expected to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the 2023 class, so it will be interesting to see if Shinsuka Nakamura makes some sort of appearance during the ceremony. Stay tuned for updates.
