Could The Rock Eventually Make A Full Time WWE Return?

During his time in WWE, The Rock transformed himself from a smiling babyface to The People’s Champion. He is unique and there will never be another Superstar like him no matter how hard Vince McMahon tries. But Hollywood’s attractive nature was just too much temptation for the Brahma Bull and he took off seldom making appearances anymore.

There was actually some talk about bringing Dwayne Johnson to WrestleMania working in a match with Ronda Rousey against Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. This would have completed the picture first painted at WrestleMania 31 but it just couldn’t happen.

The fact is that if The Rock was allowed to wrestle again he very well might. After all, he still loves it and is obviously in great shape. But movie studios put so much money in his life that they have hefty insurance policies on Johnson making it impossible for him to work a match.

When he worked against John Cena at WrestleMania 29, The Rock suffered an injury which caused delaying the filming of Hercules. This move cost the project a ton of money and Dwayne Johnson hasn’t wrestled an actual match since.

Mike Johnson said during PW Insider Radio that The Rock could certainly come back if he wanted to which is probably the case. After all, WWE could certainly use his star power (via Ringside News).

“And when you look at it, who’s out there that is a marquee star that you could build around? The easy answer is The Rock but I don’t see The Rock taking any time off from anything he’s doing to work on a wrestling project full-time. The Rock could certainly do it if he wanted to do it but I don’t see him ever wanting to do it.”

But the thing keeping him back is probably out of his control at this point because of how much his health is worth to so many other people.
