WrestleMania is this weekend and it seems that WWE is looking to bring back a few former women’s wrestlers to be part of the SmackDown Women’s Championship match.
Beth Phoenix, Kelly Kelly and Eve Torres have already been reported to have been asked to attend WrestleMania so that they can be scanned for their part in WWE 2K18. There has also been rumors that Eva Marie could be returning to be part of the show.
WWE announced that all available SmackDown women will be able to take part in the match, and many have interpreted this to mean that Eva Marie is returning. Various other reports have suggested that Eva Marie is actually done with WWE, she’s changed her hair color back to black and has appeared in two films since she was suspended by WWE in the summer.
Eva was suspended for her first violation of the WWE Wellness Policy in the lead up to SummerSlam last year, and despite being cleared to return, it seems that Eva is not ready to.
There is an assumption that Eva now wants to move into acting and is just waiting for WWE to release her from her contract. Eva has moved everything to do with WWE from her Twitter and Instagram, which could mean that her release is inevitable.
All will become clear on Sunday night if Eva Marie does make her return to WWE for the SmackDown Women’s Championship match at WrestleMania.
