Chris Jericho defeated Adam Page in the main event of All Out to become the first ever AEW World Champion on Saturday night, and Jericho’s AEW World Title belt was reportedly stolen from a Longhorn Steakhouse.
Tuesday night on SmackDown, Drake Maverick won the 24/7 Title and as he was making his exit Corey Graves referenced the stolen belt when he said the following:
“I’m sure Maverick’s going to grab his wife and take a limo to a chain restaurant since he won and lost his title in the same night.”
However, Corey Graves later took to Twitter to clarify that he wasn’t taking a shot at Chris Jericho, he was merely trying to have a little fun.
“Dear Internet,
You’ll KNOW when I take a “shot.” I hate to burst your bubble, but sometimes a friend can make a joke about a friend.
