You never know who might return to WWE nowadays and it seems that the company is once again working with Brian Kendrick. Fightful Select reports that Brian Kendrick and Jason Jordan both worked as producers for the SmackDown Women’s Title match at Survivor Series on Saturday night.
Brian Kendrick has had a few different runs with WWE working as an on screen talent, trainer and producer, but it was reported earlier this year that Brian Kendrick had requested his release from the company and his request was granted back in February.
Following his WWE departure, Brian Kendrick’s AEW debut was announced for the February 2 episode of Dynamite and he was originally set to face Jon Moxley. However, the match was pulled from the card after Tony Khan became aware controversial comments Kendrick made in conspiracy theory videos back in 2011 and 2013. After the videos resurfaced, AEW cut ties with him, and Brian Kendrick responded by issuing the following statement:
“I apologize for all the hurt and embarassment I have caused with my words. These are not my beliefs and never were beliefs of mine, and I crossed the line. I spread the most vile comments without thinking of the damage it would cause. I will live with this regret for the rest of my life. I am truly sorry for the pain I have caused.”
Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
