Triple H was in attendance for UFC 205 when Conor McGregor made history, and shortly after the event reports started circulating claiming Triple H wants to bring McGregor to WWE. Triple H confirmed he’s interested during an interview, saying that Conor McGregor has it all.
“He could come over, he’s got it all, man – he’s got the personality, the skills, the talk. He’s an entertainer, for sure. What does he walk around at? 180lbs? I have smaller guys now in the WWE. We have 200lb guys who are stars. You don’t need to be 300lbs any more.”
This year Conor McGregor talked his fair share of trash about WWE stars while trying to promote his own fights, and it worked because it got a lot of people talking. McGregor’s agent Audie Attar recently appeared on ESPN’s 5ive Rounds podcast, and he noted that the idea is something McGregor is willing to entertain.
“I think it’s all about business, man,” Attar said. “If [WWE] is going to come with an offer, we are willing to entertain it. We are here. Have their people call his people — which is me. We can have a conversation.”
So what’s it going to take to get Conor McGregor to work with WWE? According to Attar, it’s going to come down to the almighty dollar.
“Again, I think ultimately Conor will say, ‘Let me talk to my friend Benjamin [Franklin] to see how many of his friends he’s bringing with him before we talk about what the obligations are,'” Attar said.
