Cody Rhodes vs. Jay Lethal Now Has A Brutal Stipulation

The Ring of Honor show on April 1st is no joke, even though it’s on April Fool’s Day. It’s going to be full of gimmicks and gaga galore. We’ve already reported The Hardys vs. The Young Bucks is now going to be a ladder match for the ROH Tag Team Championships, and now an even more brutal match added to the card.

ROH just announced the Cody Rhodes and Jay Lethal match for the ROH Supercard of Honor XI show will be a Texas Bullrope Match.

Cody’s father, The American Dream Dusty Rhodes was involved in plenty of Texas Bullrope Matches with Randy Orton, Superstar Billy Graham, and others. He is practically the man who made those matches famous. Now Cody will be following in his father’s footsteps, even though he isn’t allowed to use his last name at the event (thanks WWE).

This match is sure to get brutal and probably very bloody if previous Texas Bullrope Matches are any indication of what we can expect from this battle on April 1st. Needless to say, we can’t wait until April 1st for more than a few reasons. True, we’ll probably be watching NXT Takeover: Orlando live, but ROH Supercard of Honor event will definitely be next on our watch list.

April’s going to start off as a very busy month for us here at Still Real To Us.
