All Elite Wrestling features some fresh faces from the world of professional wrestling, but since the launch of the company fans have seen some appearances from wrestling legends.
Names like Bret Hart, DDP and Jake Roberts have made appearances on AEW programming, and now it looks like Sting could be the next Hall of Famer to work with All Elite Wrestling.
Sting recently praised Lance Archer and noted that he’s happy to see him get a shot in AEW.
Cody Rhodes got a lot of fans talking when he responded with the following:
Mattel also recently noted that Sting will not be part of the upcoming Legends Series 7 figures when the company issued a statement saying, “Due to circumstances out of our control Sting needed to be removed from Legends Series 7. We’ll look to include this figure in a future wave if he becomes available to us again.”
The Major Wrestling Figures Podcast reposted the statement, and Cody responded by posting the infamous gif of himself cupping his ear as the camera zooms in.
Sting officially retired from in-ring competition when he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2016, but it will be interesting to see if he does end up making an appearance on AEW programming in the future.
