Cody Rhodes Teases Retirement On AEW Dynamite

For weeks now Malakai Black has been ambushing Cody Rhodes with surprise attacks on AEW Dynamite, and this week they finally faced off in the main event. Malakai Black dominated Cody Rhodes for the majority of the match, and it came to a swift conclusion when Black hit Rhodes with Black Mass then put his foot on Cody’s chest to score the winning pinfall.

After the match Tony Schiavone came out to interview Cody Rhodes, who was limping around, but Cody grabbed the mic. He said that AEW is a revolution, and AEW is now competition. He said that there may be some infighting among the Executive Vice Presidents, but he loves them.

Cody Rhodes said that Daily’s Place is the AEW amphitheater, and he told the fans that he loves them so very much. Cody then got down on his knees and took off his boots while he saluted the crowd.

Malakai Black then showed up and hit Cody from behind with a crutch. Black then grabbed Cody’s boot and looked at it as the show went off the air.
