Earlier this year Cody Rhodes made his big return to WWE when he defeated Seth Rollins on the Grandest Stage of Them All at WrestleMania 38. The American Nightmare seemed to be on a roll, but his momentum was halted when he suffered a torn pectoral muscle while training for his match with Seth Rollins at Hell in a Cell.
Cody has been recovering in his off time and he apparently paid a visit to the WWE warehouse recently as he posted the following photo of himself standing in front of Triple H’s throne on his Instagram story:
Rhodes famously smashed a replica of Triple H’s throne at the first ever AEW Double or Nothing pay-per-view in June of 2019. It was recently reported that the former Intercontinental Champion is recovering ahead of schedule and although there’s no set date for his return the Royal Rumble has been a rumored target for a potential comeback. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
