For years now Cody Rhodes’ quest to become WWE Champion has been one of the top storylines in wrestling, and he finally accomplished his goal back in April when he defeated Roman Reigns to win the belt at WrestleMania.
The American Nightmare has previously indicated that he had hopes of bringing WWE’s Winged Eagle Title belt back if he were to win the title, and now fans are wondering if it’s still something Cody is pursuing.
During a recent appearance on Superstar Crossver, Cody addressed the possibility of him bringing the title back while making it clear that he’s trying to make it happen.
“I’m so glad you asked. Please know, anyone who heard me say the words ‘Winged Eagle Title’, I actively am still on the hunt. I am still on the mission, and if anything, I have shown in the past, even if it’s for a single night for fleeting, I try to be a man of my word, so I’m working on it.”
