Cody Rhodes made his big return to WWE in 2022 and ever since then he’s been featured as one of the top stars in the company. The American Nightmare is arguably the biggest pure babyface in WWE at the moment, but in recent months there’s been a lot of talk about a potential heel turn for Cody.
During a recent appearance on ESPN’s First Take the former Undisputed WWE Champion was asked about a potential heel turn, and Cody made it clear that he would make some major changes if a turn did indeed happen.
“I always like to say in what we do, never say never. The more you’re in this, it’s probably really likely but I think my version of a heel is just way too — I don’t know. I wouldn’t have music, the song would go away, the entrance would go away, I’d try to get myself canceled. I don’t know if it would even translate. Never say never, but I don’t see it happening anytime soon.”
As of right now there’s currently no indication that a heel turn is in the works, but some fans on social media have been calling for Cody Rhodes to turn, and The Rock pitched an idea for Cody to go heel earlier this year. We’ll just have to wait and see if it happens at some point.
