Cody Rhodes was recently asked by a fan on his personal Twitter account if he has any plans to open up a wrestling school down the road. Cody told him that he doesn’t, and that he has an age in mind for retirement.
It looks like Cody’s current plan is to retire at 40. Cody Rhodes will be 31 in June, so if he really does drop his boots at 40 that means he’s got about 9 good years left in the squared circle. At this point he is a WWE veteran as he made his debut with the company back in 2007. Many fans are hoping to see him win a World Championship in WWE before he retires, and 9 years would give him plenty of time to get it done.
So far in his WWE career Cody has won the Intercontinental Championship twice and he is also a two time Slammy Award winner. He’s also had a lot of success in the tag team division as well as he’s held tag team gold six different times with various different partners including his brother Goldust.
Cody is currently working as Stardust, but we’re hoping that changes in the near future. You can get more on our thoughts in regards to a possible gimmick change for Cody here: 6 WWE Superstars That Need To Turn Heel Or Face ASAP
