Cody Rhodes is kind of hard to miss thanks to his look and his American Nightmare neck tattoo is impossible not to notice. When Cody first for the tattoo in 2020 it got the wrestling world talking and some of the reactions weren’t favorable.
Recently the former TNT Champion appeared on Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast and he talked about some of the reactions to his tattoo. According to Cody he showed up to a production meeting the day after getting the tattoo and current AEW announcer Jim Ross couldn’t stop staring.
“I mean, I don’t know if it was a mistake or if I wasn’t paying attention. A lot of people were like, neck? And then like, my boss at the time, this was when I was at AEW, he just thought like, no way, it’s not gonna be your neck or anything. I walked into the production meeting the next day just I remember Jim Ross, the legendary wrestling announcer Jim Ross literally just the whole meeting was just staring at it, not listening to anything.”
The next few months are shaping up to be big for Cody Rhodes as he recently won the Royal Rumble and he’s currently set to challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 39. Stay tuned for updates.
