AEW Dynamite premiered on TNT a few weeks ago, and the debut episode managed to draw 1.4 million viewers.
Dynamite has been coming out ahead of NXT on Wednesday nights, and so far viewership has remained steady for the most part.
However, Vince Russo recently talked about AEW’s ratings on his podcast and said that in three months he thinks AEW will have to look at their ratings and make some adjustments.
A fan brought Russo’s comments to the attention of Cody Rhodes on Twitter, and Cody responded with the following:
“We are happy and our partner is happy. We overshot projections and set a record for a WM debut. This is the era of cord cutting, simulcast and dvr bumps. We are proud of how incredible the numbers have been and know we need to work hard now more than ever.”
