Cody Rhodes is known for a lot of things. He’s a great wrestler, a fantastic husband, and he’s appeared on Arrow. His t-shirts are at Hot Topic, he loves video games, and we’re not supposed to call him Cody “Rhodes” anymore. But regardless of what you call him, he’s still extremely entertaining.
Cody’s G1 USA match against Kazuchika Okada was outstanding. He played the best heel he could in that match and even if you loved Cody you still had to hate him in that encounter. But as ROH Champion one loss against PWI’s top rated wrestler isn’t going to get Cody down at all.
As a member of The Bullet Club he’s part of a merchandising machine with no signs of slowing down. Now he’s looking at the next phase of his career and it apparently has a lot of showmanship attached to it.
Cody recently tweeted out a picture of Ganondorf from the Zelda series. This is really nothing new for him because he’s a huge fan of the Zelda video games and loves showing off his amazing treasures from Hyrule. He plays the games whether he’s at home or on a flight and now he looks like he might be looking to bring some of that magic to the ring.
Attached to this sick image of Ganondorf was a simple message saying: “Question (asking for a friend): any cosplay or gear designers out there able to make something like this for a rasslin’ entrance?”
If we read that correctly it looks like Cody is wanting entrance attire inspired by the baddest villain in the Zelda franchise and if that is the case then we’re on board. We can’t wait to see the end result of what Cody’s cooking up. Whether he’s in New Japan, ROH, or making a town near you Cody might be gearing up for something very special.
