Cody Rhodes faced off against Seth Rollins in the main event at Hell in a Cell on Sunday night, and it was confirmed before the event that Cody was going into the match with a torn pectoral tendon.
The American Nightmare managed to put on a main event worthy performance even though he was injured. After picking up a win over Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 38 and WrestleMania Backlash, Cody managed to defeat Rollins once again at Hell in a Cell.
After the show went off the air Rhodes grabbed the mic and addressed the fans in attendance, and he noted that competing on Sunday night was solely his decision.
“I’m sure I’m gonna explain things a little further tomorrow, I’ll be very brief. No one convinced me, with a torn pec, to come out here. It was solely my decision. You would have to literally kill me from staying away from this ring. Ten times out of ten, I would have made the same decision.”
Stay tuned for more updates on Cody Rhodes as they become available.
