Cody Rhodes won 30 man Royal Rumble match last month and it’s been officially announced that he will be going to WrestleMania to challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship on the Grandest Stage of Them All. However, it was also announced last week that Roman Reigns will be defending his title against Sami Zayn at Elimination Chamber.
On Saturday night Cody Rhodes faced off against Seth Rollins at the WWE live event in Columbus, Georgia and after the match he cut a promo where he addressed the possibility of Sami winning the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
“I just want to tell you it is the biggest run of my career that I’m on. I’m so excited about going to WrestleMania… I don’t care who I wrestle; if I wrestle Roman Reigns or if I wrestle Sami Zayn, that’s fine with me. I just want to make sure I get the job done, and you guys have a great time. I love you from the bottom of my heart.”
There’s no denying that Sami Zayn has become one of the most popular wrestlers on the WWE roster and there are plenty of fans who want Sami to be involved with the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship picture at WrestleMania. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
