Goldberg is without a doubt one of the biggest stars in the history of the professional wrestling business, and there’s no denying that his name has drawing power.
AEW President Tony Khan has noted that he’s on good terms with the WWE Hall of Famer, and Jim Cornette recently claimed that Khan wanted to sign Goldberg to a deal that would have seen him redo the streak all over again in All Elite Wrestling.
A fan recently commented on the rumor, and Cody Rhodes claimed that it’s not true, and that AEW had no contact with Goldberg when he posted the following:
“This isn’t real. We had no contact ha.”
Fans who are optimistic about seeing Goldberg in AEW probably shouldn’t get their hopes up as the Hall of Famer recently confirmed that he’s under contract with WWE for two more years, and his contract requires him to wrestle two matches per year.
