Ever since Cody Rhodes returned to WWE at WrestleMania 38 back in 2022 he’s made it his goal to finish the story. While he was pursuing the Undisputed WWE Championship, Cody also made a few comments about potentially bringing the winged eagle belt back.
The American Nightmare finally finished the story when he defeated Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40 back in April, but the winged eagle belt is nowhere to seen.
Cody Rhodes has a big match coming up with Kevin Owens at Saturday Night’s Main Event this weekend as he’s set to defend his Undisputed WWE Championship against Kevin Owens.
Triple H recently posted a video of himself with Cody Rhodes which featured The Game talking about how Saturday Night’s Main Event will have a retro theme. Hunter told Cody that he has something for him, but it’s for “one night only.” Cody then opened up a case and looked down on something that was projecting a gold glow on his face. He smiled, closed the case and walked away with it.
While the item in the case wasn’t shown fans are already speculating that Cody Rhodes could be bringing back the iconic winged eagle belt at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Saturday Night’s Main Event will air live on December 14, and the current card can be seen below.
