Friday was a big night for Cody Rhodes as he received some interesting gifts from The Rock. The Final Boss had a private dressing room set up for Cody Rhodes and Rhodes later addressed The Rock’s offer during the main event segment.
At the end of SmackDown, The Rock appeared on the screen and a big red truck with The American Nightmare logo was driven out into the arena. Rock explained that the truck was a gift. Rock also referenced Dusty Rhodes which left Cody stunned as SmackDown went off the air.
After SmackDown went off the air Cody Rhodes cut a promo and hyped up the fans in the arena. The American Nightmare teased that he was going to throw his weight belt into the crowd, but he was attacked by Solo Sikoa before he could throw it.
Solo Sikoa laid Cody out in the ring then headed to the ringside area to grab a chair. As Solo got back in the ring with the chair Cody hit him with a superkick followed by a Cross Rhodes. Solo rolled out of the ring and Cody threatened to hit him with the weight belt as he walked down the aisle to the backstage area.
Elimination Chamber is sure to be interesting for Cody Rhodes as The Rock has made it clear that he wants Cody’s soul and he’s expecting an answer at the premium live event.
