Today WWE reported record revenue when they released their fourth quarter earnings report, and the company also held a fourth quarter earnings conference call.
During the call WWE Co-President George Barrios was asked about the launch of a “new wrestling organization” which is presumed to be AEW, and if WWE is seeing more cost inflation due to the launch.
“Yeah, too early to tell. We wouldn’t talk about specifics of that,” Barrios said via Wrestling Inc. “From our perspective, we think we are the premiere global organization with the greatest wrestlers in the world, one of the greatest platforms. We have a lot of confidence in our ability to manage that.”
Later today All Elite Wrestling will hold the Double Or Nothing Ticket Party from Las Vegas, and it’s been teased that the company will be making a big announcement.
Stay tuned for more updates on AEW as they become available.
