CM Punk is getting another chance to step inside the octagon, and he recently announced that he would be fighting at UFC 225 in Chicago on June 9.
Now TMZ is reporting that Dana White has officially confirmed CM Punk will be fighting Mike Jackson.
Punk’s fight UFC fight didn’t go all that well as he was defeated by Mickey Gall in 2 minutes and 45 seconds.
But Punk has had quite a bit of time to train since then, and his coach Duke Roufus recently said that he’s improved a lot since his first fight.
Dana White also recently announced that Brock Lesnar will be returning to UFC, but he noted that Brock’s next fight isn’t set just yet, and he’s waiting to see how things play out with Stipe Miocic vs. Daniel Cormier.
Brock is set to defend the WWE Universal Championship against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania on Sunday, and at this point that is expected to be his last WWE match before he signs a new deal with UFC.
As far as Brock’s UFC return goes, it was recently reported that a deal is in place, it just needs to be finalized.
