It’s been years since fans have seen AJ Lee in the ring, but during her tenure with WWE she quickly became one of the most talked about wrestlers on the roster. The former WWE Divas Champion hasn’t wrestled since 2015 and there are a number of fans who are hoping that she will step into the ring again someday.
Current NXT Champion Roxanne Perez is hoping to have a match with AJ Lee someday and she recently told Pro Wrestling Illustrated that Punk has told her he’s trying to get AJ back in the ring.
“Definitely, yeah, I try (to talk to CM Punk about convincing A.J. Lee to return) but he tells me that he’s doing the same thing. He’s trying to get her to come back, he’s pulling her in but, I hope one day she decides to come back and have a match with me.”
