CM Punk is certainly no stranger to controversy, and he’s once again making headlines because he was involved in a physical altercation with Jack Perry at All In on Sunday.
Fightful Select reports that there was a lot of eye rolling and “this again?” type responses to the altercation between CM Punk and Jack Perry. One source also reportedly said, “with 100 percent certainty, Jack Perry didn’t throw the first punch. Punk shoved him and put him in a choke.”
The altercation took place in between Jack Perry’s match with Hook and CM Punk’s match with Samoa Joe. One account claimed that Samoa Joe was trying to play peacemaker and keep others out.
Several accounts claim that CM Punk asked Jack Perry if they had a problem, and Perry said CM Punk started something online with the story about using real glass. The comments Jack Perry made during his match with Hook were supposed to be a receipt, and he told a couple people he was planning to make the comments before it happened.
According to people close to CM Punk, there wasn’t much communication between Tony Khan and Punk following the altercation. Punk has told people he “hates this place” as a result of the issues going on in AEW. However, many people in AEW feel that CM Punk is plenty responsible for the issues.
Neither CM Punk nor Jack Perry attended the All In after party and CM Punk left London on Monday afternoon. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
