For almost two years now fans have been waiting to see CM Punk make his debut in the octagon, and he finally faced off against Mickey Gall at UFC 203.
Punk began his training in January of 2015, and UFC recently released a documentary titled “The Evolution of Punk” which documented his progress. Mickey Gall on the other hand, has had over seven years of training, and prior to the fight he told the press that he was going to take CM Punk out in 45 seconds.
CM Punk parted ways with WWE in January of 2014, and the last time he was in attendance for a WWE event, it took place at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, OH. The Quicken Loans Arena also happened to be the location of UFC 203, and his MMA debut.
Punk came out to “Cult of Personality” to a loud ovation from the crowd. He seemed cool and confident heading into the fight, but the fight didn’t last very long.
Mickey Gall wasted no time going after Punk, and he took Punk down then hit him with several strikes to the hea. Punk and Gall wrestled for a while, but Gall dominated. Punk tried hard to defend himself and gain the upper hand, but he ended up tapping out after Gall applied a rear naked choke in the first round.
After the fight Punk showed props to Mickey Gall, and Mickey showed respect to Punk.
Gall gave a speech talking about people hating on CM Punk online, he told everybody to block the hate, and that he’s ready for whoever is next.
Punk then got on the mic and said that Mickey is a hell of a fighter. He said that he will be back and he thanked everyone for their support.

Kind of weird? Kind of preachy? He’s CM Punk! All he does is preach to people!
