For weeks now people have been talking about the status of WrestleMania 36, and WWE finally confirmed today that the Show of Shows will take place from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando as opposed to Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, FL.
Recently Friday Night SmackDown aired from the Performance Center with no audience, Raw is set to do the same this week, and it looks like WrestleMania 36 will be following suit.
Former WWE Champion CM Punk comment on the big WrestleMania announcement when he posted the following on Twitter:
“Well that’s one way to make sure Roman finally gets not booed and nobody chants for meeeeeeee.”
As previously reported, WWE issued the following statement on WrestleMania:
“In coordination with local partners and government officials, WrestleMania and all related events in Tampa Bay will not take place. However, WrestleMania will still stream live on Sunday, April 5 at 7 pm ET on WWE Network and be available on pay-per-view. Only essential personnel will be on the closed set at WWE’s training facility in Orlando, Florida to produce WrestleMania.”
