It’s been a year since CM Punk returned to WWE at the 2023 Survivor Series premium live event, and the wrestling world is still reacting to his return.
For years it seemed that a potential return to WWE was off the table for CM Punk, but obviously that wasn’t true as Punk has been featured as one of the top stars since he made his comeback.
Recently CM Punk took to Instagram to share a screenshot of the conversation he had with Steve Austin the night he returned, and the screenshot revealed that Austin sent the following text to Punk after he appeared on camera:
“G**dam. That was a f****** monster pop. Maybe the loudest I’ve ever heard. Awesome.”
Last month CM Punk wrapped up his long running feud with Drew McIntyre when he picked up a win over the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion at Bad Blood.
Now CM Punk is moving in a new direction as it was revealed last week that he will he teaming with The Original Bloodline to take on The New Bloodline in a WarGames match at Survivor Series.
