Throughout the course of his career CM Punk has been involved in some heated feuds, and some would argue that Jeff Hardy was one of Punk’s greatest rivals.
It’s been a long time since CM Punk and Jeff Hardy have faced off inside the ring, but The Charismatic Enigma stated that he would like to return to WWE and retire CM Punk.
“Ultimately, man, I’d like to do a really cool match in the WWE and do the Hall of Fame and all that stuff to really end it on the highest note possible. Because looking back at my career now, the history is just a glimpse, like a blink of an eye, when you achieve so much and then you’re here at this point, older in life. So it’d really be special to have a killer match, maybe make CM Punk retire, and then, go into the Hall of Fame.“
Recently CM Punk discussed Jeff Hardy’s comments with Inside The Ropes and he said, “He would like to retire me? Alright, I would like to be able to fly. I don’t think that’s going to happen anytime soon.”
Currently Jeff Hardy is part of the Total Nonstop Action roster, but The Hardys recently crossed over to NXT thanks to the partnership between NXT and TNA Wrestling. It seems that we could be seeing more of Matt and Jeff Hardy in the months to come, as it was recently reported that WWE may be bringing them back to the main roster, and you can get more on that here.
