On Sunday night the stars of AEW took over London as All In aired live from Wembley Stadium and CM Punk kicked off the show when he defended his Real AEW World Championship against Samoa Joe. Punk picked up the victory, but it seems that he was also involved in an interesting situation before the match kicked off.
Fightful Select is reporting that CM Punk had an altercation with Jack Perry shortly before he made his way to the ring. Perry was on before CM Punk and performed a spot involving a car window. Jack Perry reportedly took a shot at Punk and said, “it’s real glass, cry me a river.” This was a reference to a confrontation that took place earlier this summer between himself and Punk over Perry’s insistence to use real glass in a spot on Collision. It’s being said that Perry was not happy with how the situation was relayed publicly by people close to CM Punk.
One side of the story claims that Jack Perry approached CM Punk then “stepped in his face” and “bumped” him. Punk then pushed Jack Perry and Jack Perry “came at Punk and got choked.” There’s no word on what type of choke was used, or who broke up the confrontation. It was also noted that this is only one side of the story.
Stay tuned for updates.
