It’s been a while since fans have seen CM Punk on AEW programming, but he’ll be making his return to TV sooner than later. It was recently confirmed that the debut episode of AEW Collision will take place from the United Center in Chicago, and this week on Dynamite it was confirmed that CM Punk will be returning for the show.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the belief is CM Punk and Ace Steel will be heavily involved with creative for AEW Collision. The idea is that they will be heavily involved with CM Punk’s creative as the main angles and storylines on the show are set to revolve around him, so he will have great input.
It’s not clear at this point in time who CM Punk will be feuding with when he returns, but a program with Chris Jericho has been rumored, and it was also reported that Punk was pushing to work a match with Samoa Joe.
