CM Punk Reportedly Being Praised For In-Ring Work

Ever since CM Punk parted ways with WWE back in 2014 fans have been talking about a possible return to the ring for the former champion, and talks have intensified as of late. It’s rumored that Punk is AEW bound, and that he could be making his debut with the company at one of the upcoming events in Chicago.

Punk also has a role in the upcoming Starz show “Heels” in which he will be wrestling as a character named Ricky Rabies. Fightful Select reports that CM Punk has been training on his own as of late, and he was praised to the in-ring work he did on “Heels.”

Cast members who worked with Punk on the show had positive things to say about his in-ring work with one source noting that he looked completely healthy when compared to how he looked during his WWE run in 2013 and 2014.

Another source noted that Punk was so good in the ring that they wondered if he had been training in private before he started working on the show, and another source claimed that he worked so well it was if he never left the wrestling business.
