For weeks now anticipation has been building for Adam Page vs. CM Punk at Double or Nothing and the two stars finally clashed on Sunday night in Las Vegas. In the end it was Punk who walked out with the old as he managed to put Page away with the GTS.
After the event CM Punk participated in the post-show media scrum and he responded to rumors that he’s not well liked in the All Elite Wrestling locker room.
“I’ve grown so wise in my old age that I’ll do my best to be as diplomatic as I possibly can with this answer,” Punk responded. “If there are people backstage that don’t like me, it’s a minority. If anybody says that nobody wants me here, or nobody likes me, I’d like to say that nobodies don’t like me, and nobodies don’t want me here.”
After the match CM Punk addressed the crowd as he thanked the fans and the AEW locker room. He also celebrated with FTR before heading to the back. Stay tuned for more updates on CM Punk’s AEW World Championship reign as they become available.
