CM Punk Reacts To Rumors Claiming He’s Joining AEW

CM Punk is always a hot topic int he world of professional wrestling, but he’s been receiving a lot more attention as of late because it’s rumored that Punk is AEW bound.

It’s rumored that Punk could be showing up at one of the upcoming AEW events in Chicago, possibly AEW Rampage on August 20th. However, when Punk was asked about a possible AEW appearance during the Sunday Night’s Main Event podcast he claimed he might be doing a screening of “Heels” in Chicago on that night.

“Um, when was that? Let me look at my calendar. When did you say it was, the 20th? I think I actually might be ding a screening, this isn’t confirmed yet so I probably shouldn’t blast this out everywhere, but we’re talking about doing a screening of episode 3 of ‘Heels’ at a AMC [theater] in Chicago, and that’s one of the dates that has been proposed. So, um, hope to see everybody there.”

Punk also reacted to Darby Allin referencing the “best in the world” in a recent promo on Dynamite, and he then tried to shift the focus to Daniel Bryan.

“Hey listen, ‘Best In the World’, that could be anybody. That’s [Daniel] Bryan, right? That’s my assumption. I hear ‘Best In the World’ and I think Bryan.”
