Last week was rough for CM Punk as he returned to the ring and was quickly defeated by interim AEW World Champion Jon Moxley. After picking up the victory Moxley officially became the undisputed AEW World Champion and this week on Dynamite the champion left an open contract in the ring for a title match at All Out.
CM Punk later made his way to the ring and talked about his future in wrestling as a fan in the crowd chanted “Colt Cabana.” Punk then seemingly responded to the chants when he pointed to a fan in the crowd and said, “Which, real quick, is 16 more times than this fat guy has ever gotten screwed in his life.”

It’s been reported in recent weeks that there’s real life tension between Adam Page and CM Punk due to Colt Cabana being removed from the Dark Order and taken off TV. It was also reported that Tony Khan originally planned to cut Colt Cabana before signing him to a deal with ROH.
Despite the loss to Moxley last week CM Punk will challenge for the title at All Out this weekend. After Moxley left the contract in the ring Punk’s friend Ace Steel came down and grabbed it then later in the show convinced Punk to sign the contract and challenge Moxley for the title.
